I was down there on a holiday with my family in 2003, and I can remember how much I just loved the place. I live in Brisbane, which is among the fastest-growing cities in the world at the moment and the state government seems to be having trouble keeping up to date with the traffic system etc. I’ve been considering moving down there.

Honestly, Australia on the whole is not a racist country. We have equal oppertunity rights for everyone, we celebrate a diverse range of foods and cultures and Canberra holds a Multicultural festival every year to celebrate this.

I’m 21, I live here and Canberra is FANTASTIC! 10 minute drive to uni, live bands, tons of dance clubs every weekend, thousands of resturants, and heaps of bush. You Just need to look for things coz Canberra doesn’t have everything located in the CBD.

canberra is a boring place to live in the social sense of things, the norm is you work all week and goto mooseheads for your one night of the same old drunken cycle then back to work. its has to be though, if it was exciting with plenty of things to do, public servants would get too distracted and work output would decline. its designed that way for a reason. not saying its a good or bad thing, its just the way it is

My dear ignorant, narrow-minded, brainless fellow Australians who keep bashing Canberra. A lot of things you say about Canberra being boring, etc, applies to the 60s and 70s. Everything has changed now. Today, Canberra is the perfect city. It has a good balance of tranquility and peace as well as activity and life. Why can’t you just learn to be proud of your magnificent national capital? Would that be un-Australian?
