You are going to want a vehicle that will be able to tow the trailer + the horse, which means you might be looking at a towing capacity over 8,000 lbs. You are going to want to get a full size truck if your load is this heavy. I am partial to Dodge and GMC because I have worked at both types of dealerships. In the Dodge you might want to check out the 2WD ( they can tow more than 4WD ) Ram 1500 Quad Cab or Mega Cab...the mega cab as the interior space of an SUV so you have more room.
